What you see in the pics is russet potatoes that are peeled &amp; chopped. Potatoes are easy to overcook in the slow cooker &amp; if you do, they turn to mush. As a way around this, I suggest cutting the potatoes into large chunks or leave the skin on. This will help them hold their shape during the long cooking process.
