How To Mak

Fryer Cashews

Roasting cashews in Air Fryer is very easy if you follow these steps:

  1. Start with preheating the Air fryer at 325℉/163℃ for 3 minutes.
  2. Put the cashew nuts in the Air Fryer basket. If you want to use oil, put the cashews in a bowl and drizzle a ¼ teaspoon of oil on top of the cashews. You need very little oil to coat the cashews.
  3. Swirl the cashews to coat them with oil. Using oil will make the salt stick better.
  4. Cook the cashews for 6 to 8 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through so all sides can brown and you can check if the cashews are golden yet.
  5. When the cashews are golden brown take them out of the Air Fryer else extend the cooking time by a minute until golden brown. If you extend the cooking time shake the basket again before extending the cooking time.
  6. When the cooking time is done take the cashews out of the Air Fryer.
  7. Sprinkle the roasted cashew nuts with salt or your favorite seasoning. Shake the cashews to coat them with seasoning.
  8. Let the roasted cashew nuts cool before serving.

Why You’ll Like This Easy Air Fryer Nuts Recipe

When you buy nuts like cashews, walnuts, peanuts, etc. in the store or on the market chances are they are deep-fried in oil. Just like anything you fry in oil, they get a lovely taste and crunch.

But a lot of nuts already contain a lot of oil. This is perfect when you want to roast them in an Air Fryer because the heat will get the oil out so they air fry in their oil. If you like you can add a little bit of oil but, to be honest, it is not even necessary.

These taste very good when you store them properly and leave them for a couple of days instead of eating them straight away.

My Cashews Are Soft After Cooking In An Air Fryer?

Let air-roasted cashews cool down first before serving. They will crisp up when they cool. After roasting cashews in the Air Fryer they are hot and still soft in the middle this will disappear when you let them cool.

When you fry cashews, the same thing happens. The cashews crisp up after frying once they cool.

Can You Eat Raw Cashews?

When you buy them in the store most likely raw or unroasted cashews are steamed before they were packaged. Raw cashews contain urushiol which is not safe to eat and is removed by steaming.

You should be save eating them unroasted however I recommend roasting them before eating because they taste so much better roasted.Tasty Air Fryer cashews served in a white bowl as a snack.

Can Roasted Cashews Spoil?

Yes, when you keep cashews for a long time, they can go stale, and in the end, go stale. So, it is recommended to roast the cashews and consume them within a couple of weeks preferably sooner. They taste so much better.

How Do I Know If Cashews Are Spoiled?

When cashews have a bitter taste, they have a very dry texture and are a little brittle you know they have spoiled. In some cases, cashews have a fishy smell then they also have gone rancid and should be thrown away.

As cashews are rather expensive storing them properly prevents cashews from spoiling and helps you enjoy them even after a long time.

If your cashews have gone stale do not throw them away just yet. You can revive them. You have several ways like:
