Ingredients You’ll Need
- 18-20 split chicken wings – Use both drumettes and wingettes.
- 3 Tbsp olive oil – Helps with browning and flavor.
- 1 tsp paprika – Adds smoky depth and color.
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Wings
STEP 1: Mix Seasonings
In a large bowl, mix:
3 Tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper.
Add the chicken wings and toss to coat.
Tip: Before you start, pat wings dry with paper towels before seasoning. This helps them crisp up in the air fryer.

STEP 2: Preheat Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 2 minutes.
STEP 3: Add Chicken To Basket
Place chicken in a single layer with space between them.
You can cook in batches if needed.
STEP 4: Cook Chicken
Cook for 24-25 minutes, flipping the chicken wings halfway through using a pair of tongs.
Chicken wings are cooked when they reach 165°F as an internal temperature when poked with a meat thermometer.
The edges will be crispy and the inside meat juicy tender.
Tips For Success
- Preheat the air fryer first for crispier skin.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket-space equals crunch.
- Flip halfway so both sides brown evenly.
