Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper for a little heat
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Rub the thighs with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using). Sprinkle evenly over the chicken.
- Place the thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes.
- Flip the thighs skin-side up and cook for another 10–12 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs
- Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 14–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Ensure the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
Flavor Variations
- Lemon Herb: Add 1 teaspoon lemon zest and 1 teaspoon dried thyme.
- Honey Garlic: Brush with a mixture of 1 tablespoon honey and 1 minced garlic clove during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
- BBQ: Brush with your favorite barbecue sauce during the last 5 minutes.
