6
Making hard-boiled eggs in the air fryer is quick, easy, and doesn’t require boiling water!
Ingredients
- 6–8 large eggs (or as many as fit in your air fryer basket in a single layer)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 135°C (270°F) for 3 minutes (optional but helps with consistent results).
- Place the eggs directly in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each one.
- Cook according to your preferred doneness:
- Soft-boiled: 9–10 minutes
- Jammy: 11–12 minutes
- Medium: 13–14 minutes
- Hard-boiled: 15–17 minutes
- Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water for 5–10 minutes.
- Peel and enjoy!
Tips for Easy Peeling
- Use eggs that are a few days old rather than very fresh.
- Chill the eggs completely in the ice bath before peeling.
- Gently crack the shell all over and peel under cool running water.
Storage
- Unpeeled hard-boiled eggs: Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Peeled eggs: Store in an airtight container and use within 3–5 days.
Serving Ideas
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Slice onto avocado toast or salads.
- Make egg salad.
- Enjoy as a high-protein snack.
Note: Air fryer temperatures can vary by model, so your first batch may need an extra 1–2 minutes to achieve your preferred level of doneness.
