Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs

🥚 Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs

Making “hard-boiled” eggs in the air fryer is incredibly easy—no pot of boiling water needed! The eggs actually cook more like roasted eggs, but they peel beautifully and taste just like traditional hard-boiled eggs.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs (or as many as fit in your air fryer basket)
  • Ice
  • Cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (130°C) for 2–3 minutes (if your model recommends preheating).
  2. Place the eggs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between them.
  3. Air fry according to your desired doneness:
    • Soft-boiled: 9–10 minutes
    • Jammy: 11–12 minutes
    • Hard-boiled: 15–17 minutes
  4. While the eggs cook, prepare an ice bath by filling a bowl with ice and cold water.
  5. Immediately transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath and let them cool for 5–10 minutes.
  6. Gently crack and peel the eggs under cool running water if needed.

Tips

  • Cooking times may vary by 1–2 minutes depending on your air fryer model and the size of the eggs.
  • Older eggs are generally easier to peel than very fresh eggs.
  • If this is your first time making them in your air fryer, cook one or two eggs first to find the perfect timing.

Storage

  • Unpeeled: Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Peeled: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
