- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Grated Parmesan, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the potatoes
- Wash and dry the potatoes.
- Slice into ¼-inch (6 mm) rounds for even cooking.
- Season
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer
- Preheat to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Air fry
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 18–22 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through.
- For extra-crispy potatoes, cook for an additional 2–4 minutes.
- Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and Parmesan, if desired.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Tips for Perfect Potatoes
- Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before seasoning for extra crispiness.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket—air needs to circulate around each slice.
- A light spray of oil during the last few minutes can help achieve an even crispier finish.
Delicious Variations
- 🧀 Cheesy: Add grated Parmesan during the last 2 minutes.
- 🌶️ Spicy: Mix in ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder.
- 🌿 Herb: Use rosemary, thyme, or dill instead of Italian seasoning.
- 🥓 Loaded: Top with shredded cheddar, crispy bacon, and green onions after cooking.
