Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Breading
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
- 1 tsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
1. Prep the Wings
- Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels.
- Toss with olive oil and the seasoning mixture.
- Let them rest for 10–15 minutes.
2. Bread the Wings
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
- Coat each wing thoroughly, shaking off any excess breading.
3. Preheat
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes.
4. Air Fry
- Arrange the wings in a single layer, leaving space between each piece.
- Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes.
- Flip the wings.
- Continue cooking for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown, crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
For extra crunch, cook 2–3 additional minutes.
