Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- If the breasts are very thick, gently pound them to an even thickness so they cook evenly.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil.
- Combine the seasonings and rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 16–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check the thickest part with a meat thermometer. The chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
🌿 Easy Flavor Variations
- Garlic Herb: Add rosemary, thyme, and extra garlic powder.
- Lemon Pepper: Replace the paprika with lemon-pepper seasoning and finish with fresh lemon juice.
- Spicy: Add ½ teaspoon cayenne or chili powder.
- Parmesan: Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the chicken during the final 2 minutes.
Tips for Juicy Chicken
- Choose chicken breasts that are similar in size.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Avoid cutting into the chicken immediately after cooking—resting keeps the juices inside.
- Always check the internal temperature rather than relying only on cooking time.
- Cooking times can vary depending on the thickness of the chicken and your air fryer model.
