🥚 Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs
Making hard-boiled eggs in the air fryer is easy, hands-off, and perfect for meal prep. No boiling water required!
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- Ice
- Cold water
Instructions
- Place the eggs directly into the air fryer basket. Keep them in a single layer.
- Set the air fryer to 270°F (130°C).
- Cook for 15–17 minutes for fully cooked, firm yolks.
- While the eggs cook, prepare a bowl of ice water.
- Carefully transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath immediately.
- Let them sit for 5–10 minutes.
- Gently tap the shells all over and peel under cool running water.
- Slice and enjoy!
⏱️ Adjust the Cooking Time
- 13–14 minutes: Slightly softer yolk
- 15–17 minutes: Firm, hard-boiled yolk
- 18 minutes: Very firm yolk
Air fryers vary, so you may need to adjust the time by a minute or two.
Tips for Easy Peeling
- Use eggs that aren’t extremely fresh if possible.
- The ice bath is important because it stops the cooking and helps separate the shell from the egg.
- Crack the shell gently all over before peeling.
- Peel from the larger end, where there is usually an air pocket.
